🌟 RealTalk Apprenticeship Programme
Launching 2026 — Currently in Development

Genlink is developing a new, integrated apprenticeship‑style programme for young people aged 16–19. The RealTalk Apprenticeship will bring together media, sport, esports, and creative arts into one powerful pathway designed to build confidence, leadership, and real community impact.

This programme is currently in development as we work with partners, schools, and local stakeholders to shape the final structure for launch in 2026.

🧭 What the Programme Will Offer

  • The RealTalk Apprenticeship is being designed to provide young people with:
  • Hands‑on experience across multiple creative and leadership disciplines 
  • Mentorship from industry professionals and Genlink alumni 
  • Confidence, communication, and teamwork skills 
  • A portfolio built through real community projects 
  • Progression into Genlink’s Youth Leadership Pathways 

 

  • 🎓 The Four Pathways (All Included)
  • Every participant will complete all four modules as part of the full programme:
  • Media & Broadcasting – digital storytelling, podcasting, journalism 
  • Sports Leadership – coaching, event planning, youth engagement 
  • Esports Leadership – team strategy, tournament design, digital enterprise 
  • Creative Arts & Storytelling – visual arts, spoken word, campaign creation.

Develop Real Skills with Genlink Apprenticeships

Genlink Apprenticeships Brent give young people hands-on experience, industry mentoring, and practical pathways into meaningful careers. Through our Genlink Youth Leadership Pathways, learners explore real-world training in media, esports, sports coaching, and community safety. Each pathway is designed to build confidence, workplace readiness, and leadership skills that will support long-term growth.

A Launchpad for Young Leaders in London

As part of one of the most impactful Young Leaders Programs in London, our apprentices take part in practical training that prepares them for real responsibilities. From planning sessions to leading groups and supporting events, every activity builds problem-solving, communication, and teamwork.

Why Apprenticeships Matter in Community Games

Apprenticeships give young people hands-on experience, real-world skills, and the confidence to take on bigger roles within their communities. Through Genlink Community Games, participants learn by doing, supporting sport events, helping run arts activities, and contributing to half-term programmes across Brent.

Practical Event Experience

Young people gain direct experience assisting with sport events in London, managing activities, engaging participants, and learning how community events operate from start to finish.

Creative & Arts-Based Learning

Apprentices support community arts projects in Brent, helping bring creative ideas to life while learning teamwork, communication, and planning skills in a real environment.

Leadership & Community Engagement

Through Genlink Community Games and half-term programmes, apprentices build leadership skills by working closely with families, volunteers, and local organisations, strengthening their role within the community.
